Electrotechnology FAQ's

This is a great starting point for communications technician, linesmen, engineer, refrigeration and air conditioning technician and of course an electrician.

The students will need to be practicing maths, basic english and with a keen interest in using their hands.

The students will gain a comprehensive understanding of electricity and the relationships it has with our surrounding environment. They will develop problem solving skills, an overall knowledge base of safety and how it applies to the electrotechnology industry.

You will need a College high visibility yellow trade shirt, black leather steel cap work boots and navy long/short ‘drill’ work pants. Students will also need safety glasses which can be purchased from the College canteen.

All students will operate with extra low voltage, at 12 and 24 volts with very minimal current. As to simulate real industry conditions.
