NEWMAN 2016 GRADUATE
After graduating in 2016 Trae gained full-time work with Hot Water Maintenance after completing workplacement with them. Trae has recently commenced his Plumbing Apprenticeship with Hot Water Maintenance and is training through John Henry Institute, delivered here at Newman College.
You will need a high visibility shirt, black steel capped boots and eye and ear personal protective equipment. The same as Construction and Furniture Making.
Generally yes. You will need check in with Careers office. They can create a workplacement contract and check that the Plumber is available to take a student on the scheduled workplacement days.
Yes, all competencies completed at Newman are recognised nationally by all Registered Training Organisations including TAFE. That means you can get RPL or transfer credits if the competencies form part of the Certificate or Diploma course.
