NEWMAN 2004 GRADUATE
After finishing her School-based Traineeship with Touchwood Flowers, Ashley went on to work in a full time capacity and today is the owner of Touchwood Flowers.

This is a qualification that focuses on developing customer services skills. These skills are relevant within all industries. Retail Services compliments all other VET subjects. It provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.
We cover WHS and security in a retail setting, to ensure safety. Handling and counting money is developed and understanding ordering stock is explored. We finish the course off with Visual Merchandising techniques.
No. You just need to be interested in learning how to provide good customer service.
A Retail Service workplacement is very broad and, with just a few exceptions, wherever you are providing customer service, you may be able to complete a Retail Services placement.

Matthew Kilpatrick
NEWMAN 2002 GRADUATE
After graduating Matthew went on to study Lighting Design, Illumination Science and now works as a Lighting Specification Manager at Euroluce.
Matthew works with Architects and Engineers to design lighting for commercial and hospitality projects. Matthew now works on projects all over the globe, from Australia, to Europe and America.
